The MESSAGE of THE CROSS is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the VERY POWER of GOD. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” 1 Corinthians 1:18-19.

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This FOOLISH PLAN of God is wiser than the WISEST of HUMAN PLANS, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

Some Very PRACTICAL Ways to Show Appreciation to Your Pastor and Spouse during PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH.

1 - Write a “brief and sincere” note thanking them for ways they serve you, your family, church family, etc. A sincere note of encouragement will mean more to them than any card you can purchase.

2 -Pray for them (spouse), their children. Pray for their health (spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, financial), and for HIS grace in every area of their life.

3 - Bless them with a gift card, desert item, etc.

4 - Ask your church leadership to (BLESS) Invest Time for a Sabbatical (days or weeks) for your Pastor and Spouse. It will reap dividends for the church, as well as the Kingdom.

A Sabbatical is not taking time off from God, it’s time to DRAW CLOSE to God !

We ask God for opportunities to serve Him…

and then get annoyed when serving Him interrupts our plans.👀😬

👉 The person needs us at an inconvenient time.

👉 The opportunity requires something we’ve never done before.

👉 The next step feels uncomfortable.

👉 The assignment wasn’t anywhere on our agenda.

And meanwhile we’re waiting for God to answer the “use me” prayer.🤲

Maybe occasionally, the interruption IS the opportunity we prayed for.

Lord, help us recognize it.🙏🤎✝️
