Warm desert winter project is a project I started last year for the homeless. I started by making crochet ,& gathering and getting donations for hats to take to the homeless people at the library on fourth Avenue and then I passed them out. I also had donations of blankets sweatshirts, and jackets that was the most awesome experience Iโve ever had.
I had a lot of yarn donated a lot of hats, crocheted, or bought were made on the loom donated. I also had blankets sweatshirts, other warm clothing items to hand out.
There is approximately about 50
Homeless people that go there on Thursday night there is a church organization that feeds them dinner once a week
I have had donations already turned in this year. I have had hats made on the loom. I have had crocheted hats and I am also making the plastic bag mats. My goal is to have 50 hats either new crocheted or bottom. My other goal is to have 50 plastic bag mats the rest of the goal is I would like 50 pairs of glovesโฆ๏ฟผ
Any of these items new used handmade are very welcome. Any warm winter clothes are welcome. I can start taking donations. I do take pictures. I do do live videos. If there is any of these items left over from when I am done at the library. I go down to the Mission and pass them out. I go to the Cancer center the VA center and the womenโs shelter. I find a home for every item that is donated.
