YPG Trax IAM Labor Union

YPG Trax IAM Labor Union News and updates about what we are doing and how you can help. This page is for all YPG Bargaining Unit Employees, not just Union members. Thank you

This is a page for organized workers of TRAX International performing Mission Test Support Services at Yuma Proving Ground. Many of you out there don’t know what’s going on around you because you’re not a Union member, lets fix that. Our intent is to provide information, notifications, and answers to questions and concerns. This is a page where we can gather to discuss wages, benefits and conditi

ons of employment for the purpose of collective bargaining or other mutual aid or protection. Our conversations about these issues are protected. This information is not for Supervisors or Management.

- Keep all posts and comments within the intent of this page or the content will be removed.
- conduct yourself in a respectful manner at all times.
- Don’t use specific names in posts or comments. (“A supervisor” or “An employee” is detailed enough)
- ONLY post/comment on this page before work, after work, on lunch or on break.
- Respect what we ask or you will be blocked from further posts.

As many of you are aware TRAX has won the new MTSS contact. As they transition into this role they have contract parameters set by the Army contract that they have to be met. One of those is manning levels for the subcontracts. Many employees received notification about the transition from TRAX to Subcontractor yesterday. The movements where based on section/classification/seniority. If you question this then pull up a seniority list in your section and check it. The list of transfered employees was audited by your local Union representatives and found to be accurate. There are many points to review in the FAQ document that cover most questions you may have. Please reach out to the Union if you have other questions. We can answer questions here or you can DM this site if you want a personal response.

Please see the attached information regarding the Government shutdown for TRAX and subcontractor employees working at YPG:

There is an update to the TRAX FAQ at: Government Shutdown FAQ found @ https://traxnet.traxintl.com

Update to FAQ:
Question: I need a letter for my creditors to reflect that I have been affected by the Government shutdown. What is the process to receive a letter stating such?

Answer: The institutions you are working with can send a Verification of Employment (VOE) request to [email protected], and the HR team will update the portion asking if you have been on leave for any reason with shutdown information and your last day worked.

Additionally there is confusion about the use of sick leave. Please review the following:

SICK LEAVE:

Employees can use sick leave in accordance with policy for any legitimate reason. Report the need for sick leave as soon as possible to the Supervisor/Chief/Lead you normally would notify. Just like other sick leave scenarios, sometimes it happens overnight. Please ensure you make notifications just as you would normally(at least 30 minutes prior to normal start time, as if you were scheduled to work, Monday-Thursday).
Employees are NOT required to provide Dr notes until after 3 consecutive days on sick leave. Not all authorized sick leave even involves medical care facilities. You will however need to provide your supervisor with the normal summary description of why you are using sick leave so they can verify that it is authorized.

Management is putting together an email to ensure all Section Supervisors are on the same page. I believe many of you were under the impression that the only sick time allowed was that approved prior to the shutdown as that was one of the FAQs. This is not the case. Make your notification with a simple, basic explanation and use your sick time if you have sick related reasons.
