Yuma RAK

Yuma RAK A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping Veterans, Active Military, Citizens & Yuma Community. We are a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization.

Our sole purpose is to perform charitable "Random Acts of Kindness” to veterans, active military, community endeavors, and citizens in distress in the Yuma area.

100% of available funds (after fixed expenses) are used for our mission. All usable donations are accepted both monetary, and material items. And are VERY welcomed. Our major fund-raising events are our bi-annual yard sales, that are sch

eduled in November and February. This is when material items will be available for sale. Please contact us for the exact dates, or they can be found here on our social media. Yuma Random Acts of Kindness was formed in January of 2016 by full/part time men and women from the Yuma Community who believed in helping others. While we are a small personal group, we have done BIG things for our Veteran and Military projects, as well as people in our community.

Today, is not just to enjoy a long weekend, but to pause, remember, and give thanks.
Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that the freedoms we enjoy every single day were bought at a price. Today, we honor the brave men and women of the United States Military who made the ultimate sacrifice. They answered the call of duty, left their homes, and laid down their lives so that we could be here today in safety, peace, and freedom. To all our fallen heroes, and to the families who carry their memory, we owe a debt of gratitude we can never truly repay.
But how do we best honor a legacy that big?
We do it by how we live our lives in the freedom they secured for us. And that is where the spirit of Yuma Random Acts of Kindness comes in.
"True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost."
— Arthur Ashe
Every time we reach out a helping hand to a neighbor, every time we perform a quiet act of generosity, and every time we choose kindness over division, we are honoring our fallen service members. We are proving that the nation they died to protect is a nation worth fighting for—one built on community, compassion, and looking out for one another.
To everyone here who has served, to the families who have sacrificed so much, and to every volunteer who works tirelessly to keep kindness alive in Yuma: Thank You.
Let’s make today about remembrance, but let's also make it about action. Let’s carry the torch of our fallen heroes by lifting each other up, one random act of kindness at a time.
Thank you, God bless our troops, and may we never forget.
