Regional Synergy in the 4FrontED Macro-Region / Sinergia Regional

​[EN] With the goal of strengthening economic coordination along our border, the 4FrontED Special Session was held at Yuma City Hall. This meeting served as a platform for continuous dialogue to align the logistical and commercial capabilities of a strategic corridor spanning two nations and four states.

​We appreciate the active participation and commitment of the communities and organizations driving this coordinated effort:
​Arizona: Yuma, Somerton, Wellton, and Yuma County.
​Sonora: San Luis Río Colorado and Puerto Peñasco.
​Baja California: Mexicali.
​California: Imperial County.
​Economic Development & Education Partners: Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation (GYEDC), GYPA, and the President of Arizona Western College.
​International Organizations: Virtual presentation by the North American Development Bank (NADBank).
​We continue to work together to pool markets, structure technical follow-ups, and expand capital attraction opportunities for the benefit of our region.

​[ES] Con el objetivo de fortalecer la coordinación económica en nuestra franja fronteriza, se llevó a cabo la Sesión Especial de la Iniciativa de Desarrollo Económico 4FrontED en Yuma City Hall. El encuentro sirvió como una plataforma de diálogo continuo para conjuntar las capacidades logísticas y comerciales de un corredor estratégico que abarca dos naciones y cuatro estados.

🎉The Yuma Civic Center is Open!

Our office is open and our team is available to assist with meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, special events, and more.

While the building remains open for business, portions of the facility are still undergoing maintenance and improvement work.
We are working diligently to complete these upgrades and hope to have the entire building fully operational soon. In the meantime, only the front-of-house areas are open to the public.

We are happy to hear about the initiative to build two safe travel routes from Lukeville and San Luis, Arizona, reflecting his strong commitment to the safety of all regional visitors. We also celebrate his interest in actively participating in the regional synergy of our Macro-Region.

Transforming Binational Mobility: The Calexico Intermodal Transportation Center is Here! 🚆🚌✨

I am honored to attend the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Calexico Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) tomorrow, followed by its grand opening to the public this Tuesday, May 12.
For those of us in the 4FrontED region, this $19 million project is more than just a transit hub—it is a vital engine for economic development and cross-border synergy.
Located just blocks from the Calexico West Port of Entry, the ITC centralizes regional bus lines, farm labor transit, and private shuttles into a modern, safe, and efficient facility.

Why this matters for our binational community:

Seamless Connectivity: Streamlining travel for the 20,000+ pedestrians who cross daily to work, shop, and study.
Economic Vitality: Revitalizing downtown Calexico by reducing congestion and creating a welcoming gateway for binational commerce.
Innovation in Motion: Integrating EV charging and sustainable infrastructure that aligns with our vision for a forward-looking, integrated border region.

We look forward to initiating discussions regarding a potential route to Yuma, Arizona.
