Come join us on June 6th, 2025 on Main Street Yuma, Colorado. A full day of fun! 5th Annual Steak Dinner and Auction, 2nd Annual Songwriters Contest, and our Amazing Blackout Bingo with the Main Street Businesses and Community Vendors. The First Friday has been an Evening to promote Art. Hope Blakely Art Gallery and Classes will be offering a painting class from 10am to 2pm. You must prepay your seat for the class, $65.00. If you are a guest of Community Blessings for Hope we will refund your class cost.
Strongly suggest BRINGING YOUR OWN COMFY CHAIRS TO ENJOY THE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT DURING THE SONGWRITERS CONTEST AND EVENING MUSIC!
We offer support services for the Family Caregiver for someone on a long-term medical journey. We don't just offer but we gift them to the Family Caregiver. We can do this because of our generous Community Sponsors and Community citizens.

Come join us for some Joy of Painting during the day! If you want to see LaRetta's painting she did with Hope Blakely Art Gallery and Classes it's on display in her window. Register with her while viewing some of her Joy of Painting class works! She also has the meal tickets available for purchase to reserve your evening meal and live entertainment! TJ Casey and Evelyn Roper, these folks are traveling a good distance to entertainment us for the evening along with our live auction.

We just learned that the City of Yuma requires all vendors to purchase a vendor permit and provide your sales tax information. This permit is good for one whole year for any other vendor events you want to attend in the City of Yuma. You may purchase these permits at City Hall on Main Street. The cost is $30.00. Again this permit with your sales tax information is good for one year. You will be all set for the upcoming events for holidays or the Art at Park coming up with the Chamber of Commerce.
Please still plan on joining us in creating a great day and evening on Main Street June 6th! We still have several spots available.

The Community Blessings for Hope Dream
Community Blessings for Hope know the little things that help our Community Blessings for Hope Family Caregiver, but there is another need that we can’t do. Provide their loved one a safe space while going on vacation. Cost for vacation alone can be costly depending on the length and destination just for the Family Caregiver and travel companion(s). But when you consider temporary, reliable care during this get a way cost, it often makes this much needed break impossible.
Family Caregivers can ask other family members to step up some do, some say yes then leave early leaving the loved one alone. Why because they aren’t ready to accept that their loved one needs more care. Or the person that needs care thinks and feel they are truly capable of taking care of themselves. (s)He convinces the backup caregivers they can go home. Then realizes just how far away help is and makes the phone call to the primary Caregiver. Vacation is cut short. When asked why the other caregivers were sent home, the simple answer, “They have families and jobs to take care of”. Leaving several emotions swirling around. Where do you go to feel valued? We only hope that are small acts of TLC can help you feel your value inside. We know later after the journey ends for our loved one is not always easy let alone the grieving process.
My dream is to be able to open my home for just this need. It is a lofty dream to remodel my home with bathrooms that are handicap accessible safety showers, raised toilets, a door to the outside for a direct fire escape, decking all the way around with raised garden beds for them to enjoy and studio for creativity…an adult camp of sorts with homecooked meals to their liking. Then, have some cabins so the family could come to stay and receive the same TLC. Giving the entire family respite.
I keep hoping to win the Lottery. Just enough to make my dream for Family Caregivers and their loved ones have an affordable place to go for much Respite for all. Because you see the loved one on the medical journey needs some respite care too from medical routine.

Join us on June 6th, 2025 for a day and evening of fun, networking, shopping, and giving to Community Partners to help our Community Family Caregivers, and organizations continue to serve our community. Remember the 2nd Annual Songwriters Contest registration is Thursday. Noon to 2pm at Empowering Oasis 107 West 2nd Avenue in Yuma (just behind Edward Jones on Main Street)
