Day 71

We made it thru your spay day & I survived you ignoring me as your way of telling me you felt hurt and let down. It's okay - I knew it would eventually be a memory that you would set aside.

Bruce - Elsa & Malfoy found forever families this weekend. That meant you have 4 babies left... Winston, Scout, Megan and Maci. As they play and explore you have assumed your position next to me in bed. It's time for us to bond & discuss our day. It's all about you for awhile.

Kyleigh Rose ... you're journey only gets better from now on ♡

You're distant today - but then I can't blame you. All the progress we have made in 2 months & in your eyes I betrayed you.

Today was spay day. I never wanted you to experience what you have gone through so many other times before. I carried you in and left you with strangers. I left you in a noisey cold place. I left you.

When I came back you wouldn't look at me. I know you're not feeling well and avoiding my touch & my apologies. I deserve it - I broke a promise.

Tomorrow you will feel better. Tomorrows that are part of our future together. ♡♡♡

Day 68

So many changes in such a short time. This weekend will bring a few more that will give you more confidence & ability to move on to the next part of your journey.

2 more of your babies are going to their forever families on Saturday. Just like you my dear Kyleigh, they will have a chance of love & a family. Then there is your spay day. I haven't quite told you about that yet but it is for you - a promise I made to you when you had your very last litter.

Romp around with your babies today - play and enjoy being a doggie. I know it's all new for you and I love watching you explore a newness every day.

Day 52 ....

Happy 7 weeks old to your puppies Kyleigh Rose!!!

You have been an amazing mommy dog and raised your babies with love & security. Your precious babies are beginning to find families of their own. What you don't know is that you have come so far in 7 weeks.

You have a best friend - Daisy. Like you she needed a second chance & has developed into a playful puppy. You both are bonded ... sleeping together on my bed and being bed hogs.

One more thing - as much as you can't wait for me to come home from work, I can't wait to get home to you ♡♡♡

45 days ago you came to Paw Paws Pet Rescue & it has been an amazing journey so far Miss Kyleigh.

Your personality is coming out slowly. You are becoming playful with both Papa & myself. Your tail wags when you see me come home. You've become a bed hog.
Your puppies are 6 weeks old & almost ready to leave so we are weaning them off you. You gave me your first unasked for kiss yesterday.

I wouldn't trade one second of any of this journey. ♡♡♡

Happy 5 weeks old!!

Kyleigh isn't feeling well tonight. Not eating and not wanting to feed her babies.

Glued to me like velcro. Wonder if she's missing Wrangler too 😓

Day 33 ...

Kyleigh isn't approving much of her puppies nursing anymore. We started mush on Tuesday and they are doing great. They have even learned how to drink from their water bowl.

The puppers enjoyed some outside time today eating...playing...sunning themselves. Kyleigh kept a watchful eye and even rolled around with them in the grass.

It's the simple things that make one smile. Priceless ♡♡♡

Happy 4 week birthday to Kyleigh's puppies. It is so cute to watch these puppies thrive and become active. Kyleigh is doing so well as a mommy & 6 of her babies still don't have names.

Would you like to name a puppy? Well - you can and the funds collected for each puppy will cover the following:

$50 to name your puppy
*bordatella vaccine
*deworming meds
*1st booster
*2nd booster

Once these vaccines are provided each puppy can be released to their foster to adopt families until the last vaccine, rabies, microchip & S/N is performed.
