Today is World Mental Health Day.

Mental health matters, and eating disorders are mental health conditions that deserve to be taken seriously.

Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, body size, or circumstances. They can impact a person’s thoughts, relationships, physical health, and ability to fully engage in everyday life.

At Charis, we believe recovery is possible. We provide a safe and loving environment where women with eating disorders can receive compassionate, comprehensive care while being reminded that their identity is not defined by their illness.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Charis is the nation’s first and only nonprofit residential treatment center dedicated solely to eating disorder recovery.

Since opening our doors, we’ve been committed to providing accessible, high-quality eating disorder treatment in a safe, loving, faith-based environment.

As a nonprofit, our focus is simple: helping women find hope and healing without letting finances be the barrier to getting care.

Thirty million people who are fighting battles that often go unseen.

Eating disorders are not a choice. They are serious illnesses that can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or appearance.

And behind every statistic is a person who deserves hope, healing, and a future beyond their eating disorder.

At Charis, we believe hope should never have a waiting list. We’re here to remind women that their story is not over.

We still can’t get over all God did at this year’s Lives Restoried Gala. 🤍

It was such a special night, and because of the generosity of so many, we are so close to reaching our goal!

A little encouragement for today. 🤍

Maybe today hasn't gone the way you hoped.

Maybe you struggled. Maybe you made a choice you regret. Maybe you feel like you've taken a step backward.

That doesn't mean you've failed. And it doesn't erase the progress you've already made.

Recovery isn't perfect. There will be hard days. What matters is what you do next.
Grace is still here.

Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us that God's mercies are new every morning. That means you don't have to carry yesterday's mistakes into today.

Tomorrow is another chance to try again, take the next step, and keep choosing healing.

You don't have to do it perfectly. You just have to keep going.
