Troop 807 and Pack 395 had the honor this past Sunday to be a part of First United Methodist Church of Yukon's service. We are incredibly grateful to them and the United Methodist Men for supporting us as our chartered organization.
Shared from Scouting America:
"Scout Sunday is a powerful reminder that the journey is built on character, service and deep respect.
Scouts of all ages - from Cub Scouts, to Sea Scouts, to dedicated , to those in Venturing, - gathered with their faith communities. Whether it was leading a prayer, ushering a service or giving thanks, Scouts brought the 12th point of the to life. Today, Scouts across America continue to demonstrate that reverence is more than just a word - it's an action.
As we share a handful of youth commemorating the occasion, we remind you that isn't just one Sunday in February - it represents a commitment to living out our values (and faith, when/where applicable), year-round.
Whether you are religious or not, how do you - and the Scouts in your life - show reverence on a daily basis?
IMPORTANT NOTE: Scouting America also recognizes Scout Sabbath and Scout Jumuah in February. While we spotlight Scout Sunday, we emphasize that Scouting America is absolutely nonsectarian (not affiliated with or restricted to a particular faith or religious group). "Reverent" means that a Scout is faithful in their religious duties and respects the beliefs of others. No matter what the religious faith of a Scout may be, this fundamental of good citizenship should be kept before them."
