Meet sweet Z and check out her new headphones and look at what she thinks about them!! We were happy that her mom reached out to us and we were excited to support her with her first pair of new headphones!! This beautiful girl and her infectious smile made our day!! This is just one example of your donation dollars at work helping precious young people!!
We love our BradySpeaks donors and thank them!!

A NOTE ABOUT HEADPHONES!!
Headphones are a great way to help affected persons with autism limit sensory overload, avoid over stimulation, and to stay focused. Something many people don’t understand about autism spectrum disorders is why children on the spectrum cover their ears a lot. There is good reason for this. The brain differences associated with autism mean that loud or chaotic environments can be physically painful and emotionally stressful. This can lead to behavioral meltdowns in some children because they are overstimulated and are unable to process it.
Introducing headphones to children and youth with ASDs can open up many new experiences, allow activities that otherwise aren’t easily tolerated, and aid in keeping young bodies calm and focused.

Our BradySpeaks website is getting a complete redo to go along with our new logo design created by Brady.

Temple Grandin first described those with Autism as “different, not less.” At BradySpeaks we believe that being different thru Autism is God inspired. We also believe a “star” lives inside that difference!!
“Dream big, work hard, create your own path, be a star!!”

*Stay tuned for some new things happening at BradySpeaks!

Tomorrow is WORLD AUTISM DAY and Brady’s family will honor the many who walk the same path as ours. Wear your BLUE tomorrow, plug in your blue porch💡, start some dialogue with someone about autism, educate yourself on these statistics, talk to your children about difference, kindness 💙, and acceptance of others, and PRAY for a cure. The latest CDC data indicates 1 in 54 children in the US have Autism!!
Brady was actually diagnosed in the year 2000. Since then, there has been a 178% increase.
I wish you knew how much that number hurt my heart!!
