🚨 HELP TOVA WALK AGAIN 🚨
This sweet little schnauzer was found hiding beneath a broken-down car with a severely broken leg. When we picked her up, her back leg hung limp with every step. Despite the pain she was in, Tova never complained — she gave kisses, accepted pets, and trusted us completely.
We said YES to helping her. And this morning, that yes paid off.
Tova came out of emergency surgery.🙏
Dr. Daniel Eisenhour and the team at Canadian Valley Animal Hospital repaired her leg, which was fractured in 5 different places — an injury the vet believes had gone untreated for a few days to a week before we rescued her. Her leg was saved using an intramedullary pin and cerclage wire, and through it all, she has been described as sweet and trusting every step of the way.
She’s only about two years old. She has her whole life ahead of her.
Her recovery will take time — about eight weeks in a splint with regular bandage changes — but she is on the other side of the hardest part.
