Some people join a board and ease their way in. Heather Marie? She hit the ground running!!

Today, we’re wishing a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Basin Wide Foundation Board Secretary, Heather Marie! 🎉

Although she’s one of our newer Board Members, Heather has wasted no time rolling up her sleeves and getting involved. From serving as Chairperson of our Yucca Valley BMX affiliate and working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the program up and running, to serving as Board Liaison for Mara’s Wish, she’s already wearing quite a few hats within the BWF family!

And her dedication to the Morongo Basin doesn’t stop there. Between running her business, giving back to local families in need, supporting other nonprofits and community organizations, and serving as an elected member of LCMS School Site Council, Heather continues to find ways to show up for her community.

Heather, we’re grateful for the energy, heart, and dedication you bring to Basin Wide Foundation and the many ways you help make our community a better place.

⚾ GAME CANCELED TONIGHT! 🌧️
Due to the severe weather forecast, tonight’s Miracle League of the Desert game (Monday, October 12) has been canceled.

The safety of our players, buddies, volunteers, and families will always come first!

Please help us spread the word so all of our Miracle League families are aware of tonight’s cancellation.

It’s a DOUBLE celebration for our very own Basin Wide Foundation Board Member, formerly Sandy Smith, now officially Mrs. Sandy Thomas! 💍🎉

If you know Sandy, you know she’s never one to shy away from an adventure. And what better way to kick off another year of life than with a whole new chapter of love?!

From supporting young adults at Copper Mountain College to giving back throughout the Morongo Basin, Sandy’s involvement in our community reaches far beyond any one organization. We’re especially grateful for the time, heart, and dedication she gives to Basin Wide Foundation and all the ways she helps move our mission forward.

Sandy, here’s to a birthday worth celebrating, a marriage full of love, and plenty more stories to tell along the way!

Every life has a story. Some stories deserve an entire evening. One of our nonprofit members, High Desert Pregnancy Clinic , invites the community to its 19th Annual Nite 4 Life Gala, themed "Stories of Life."

Join them for an evening of inspiring speakers, dinner, silent and live auctions, and an opportunity to support the work they do for individuals and families in our High Desert community.

Sometimes you don’t realize just how far the Basin Wide Foundation family reaches until you walk into a room and start recognizing the faces. 💙

Last night was one of those nights.

People we know through local businesses, nonprofits, community programs and countless other roles around the Morongo Basin also happen to be people helping move Basin Wide Foundation forward.

And that wasn’t all… another handful of our affiliate committee members were there too. 🫶🏽

Once you start connecting the dots, it’s pretty incredible to see how many people connected to BWF are already out there serving, supporting and helping move the Morongo Basin forward in so many different ways.

We missed getting photos with everyone, but it sure was good seeing so much of the BWF family in one room.

And shoutout to our #1 Foundation Ambassador, David Ofahulu, for making sure we actually got a few photos. 📸
