Some shared information from the Yreka Garden Club:
1. Plant Fall Bulbs
Your zone offers mild winters and a long growing season, which perfectly supports what ranunculus need! Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and alliums also grow wonderfully in your area.
2. Plant a Quick Harvest
Microgreens such as radishes, mustard, and kale can be grown indoors or outdoors for a quick harvest, as they thrive in cooler temperatures.
3. Prepare Garden Beds
Continue to prepare beds by removing weeds, dead plants, and spent vegetables. Amend your soil with compost or organic matter. Or leave for birds, good insects and other wildlife for winter. Removing diseased plants
