We are very excited to celebrate our 31st annual Fire Fighter of the Year Dinner tomorrow, Saturday, April 11th at the Yreka Community Center. Doors open at 5:00 Pm, tickets are $20, pay at the door. Thank you Raymond’s Catering. I believe Raymond and crew have cooked for us every year!
This is a great event where we are able to recognize individual fire fighters in their own communities for going above and beyond, making a difference. We also recognize Citizen of the Year in their communities.
Many volunteers feel a strong sense of duty to protect their neighbors. In smaller or rural areas especially, fire departments depend heavily on volunteers to keep people safe. Saving lives, protecting homes, and being there in critical moments can be deeply fulfilling.
