Today, we celebrate the strength, love, and resilience of mothers everywhere — especially the moms in our community who work tirelessly to care for their families, often while facing incredible challenges.

At SOS, we see the determination of mothers who are building brighter futures for their children every single day. Whether it’s finding stable housing, putting food on the table, or creating a safe place to call home, their courage inspires us.

This Mother’s Day, we honor all mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and mother figures who give so much of themselves to others. Thank you for the love you share and the difference you make in the lives around you.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at SOS 💙

Volunteer Groups Needed!

SOS Community Services is looking for volunteer groups to help with spring and summer yard clean-up projects at our shelter housing units. From raking leaves, pulling weeds, and refreshing outdoor spaces, your team can make a meaningful difference for the families we serve.

A clean, welcoming outdoor space helps create a sense of comfort, dignity, and home for individuals and families working toward stability.

Perfect for:
✔ Corporate teams
✔ Youth groups
✔ Faith communities
✔ Clubs & community organizations

Interested in volunteering with your group? Reach out to learn more and schedule a project day!

This month, SOS staff are participating in the Commuter Challenge — and we’re currently leading the medium-sized organization category in both Miles Not Driven and Emissions Prevented!

We’re proud to see our team making a positive impact not only through their work in the community but also through choices that support a healthier planet. Every mile makes a difference!

A safe home changes everything.

With stable housing, families can focus on their health, their children’s education, and their future. That’s the impact your support makes possible.

MYTH: People experiencing homelessness just need to “work harder.”
FACT: Many of the families SOS serves are already working—but rising housing costs and unexpected crises make stability difficult to maintain.

We meet people where they are and help them move forward.
