Have you heard of the Caring Committee? They do some amazing work sending out cards to those who need a kind word. But now they need your help! They've sent out so many cards that they are running out! So, we though, wouldn't it be nice to have something designed by our community going out to other members of our community.

We are looking for original artwork that we can print into sympathy and get well cards. No AI submissions please.

Compensation - 1 free ticket of choice to ConVocation 2027 or 2028 per chosen design.

We are looking for multiple designs so more than one person may be chosen.

Requirements -
Must have "Magical Education Council" within the design.
Standard 3x5 dimension either vertical or horizontal.
Black & White or Full Color
All submissions due by September 1st 2026.

Pride month is so necessary in a world where people face adversity simply for their gender identity, their sexuality, their ways of loving and living.

As Helen and I contemplated themes for this year’s ball, we wanted to choose something that really spoke to us and yet could hold up on it’s own as well. Something that could be considered Movement but yet didn’t necessarily have to be either. We had a few ideas and thought about them…things didn’t feel exactly right. And then I giggled….It was completely inspired by one of Helen’s ideas of Storms and a recent trip I took where I had to race against a huge storm to get ahead of it and on the other side. The relief I felt after I reached the clear sky and knew I was safe again was incredible as I unclenched my jaw and loosened my grip on the wheel. I felt like I could breathe again. Storm clouds bring fear and destruction, and yet they are beautiful with lightning and rain. I quite love a stormy day and to dance in the rain. But my favorite thing is the afterwards... when the light is shining again and the breeze has slowed down. There is calm and peace and if the sun is shining just right...a rainbow. The sky is full of color and beauty. Sometimes even two! I’m always amazed at the way refracted light can create such intense colors. So that is why this year’s Grand Ball Theme is : Storm Clouds and Rainbows.
