Educate Youth 501c3 We are an all-inclusive youth organization located in Ypsilanti, MI. We encourage youth to examine & learn about issues of diversity & social justice.

Our nonprofit wing, Educate Youth, hosts all of our youth programs, which were created by and for teens. Dedicated to Make a ChangeL3C/Educate Youth 501c3 serves as an agency for youth to examine issues of justice, diversity, social responsibility through action and to gain a love of learning. We serve young people in the Ypsilanti, MI city and county. Our nonprofit wing, Educate Youth, hosts prog

rams made by and for youth, such as our Summer Program, Having Opportunities for Positive Education (HOPE), Prevent and Prevail: Comprehensive S*x Education, Teen-Run Activity Planning, and SAT Preparation. DTMAC is focused on educational and youth consultation and hosts our trainings, which include: Engaging Youth, Supporting and Working with TBLGQA youth, Creating After School programs, and Developing Mentors.

We are still coming down from the excitement of our 2026 End of Year celebration two weeks ago! This year, both of our graduates, Kim and Benecia, were honored with the Belanger-Cushman award! This generous award from Emily Belanger is presented to graduating seniors in honor of her mother, who worked as a school counselor. Each year, her mom would purchase a teddy bear for a graduate she felt had displayed the most growth, and award it to them with a $100 bill. At Educate Youth, this looks like teddy bears and $750. Previously, our 2024 graduates were initially awarded $500, and they were each awarded with an additional $250 to adjust for inflation. Thank you for allowing Educate Youth to help carry on your mom’s legacy, Emily!
