Nearly 30 team members from Hyundai Motor Group Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) joined us over the last month to make big progress at our new build on Dorset Avenue. But their support goes far beyond a single month of volunteering. Since 2010, HATCI has sponsored our Habitat homes, investing in affordable homeownership and stronger communities year after year. The 50 Flag Salute is looking for 40 volunteers to help create an unforgettable patriotic display during the Ypsilanti Community Parade!

Volunteers will line both sides of the parade route holding American flags as we honor our veterans, active military members, first responders, and the community.

Some traditions just feel like summer… and fireworks night is one of them.

Join us Saturday, June 27, at Beck Ball Fields for an evening of music, activities, food, and fireworks under the stars.

Our Recreation Department will have fun activities for kids beginning at 8:00 PM while the DJ keeps the summer vibes going all evening long.

And yes… the fireworks show is going to be BIGGER than ever. 🎆

SAVE THE DATE! The 2026 Big House 5K will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, and registration will open on January 15, 2026.

The Big House 5K has a mission of raising funds and awareness for local non-profit beneficiaries. The race begins on State Street, courses through the University of Michigan’s central campus, and then finishes on the 50-yard line of Michigan Stadium.
