The Ypsilanti Senior Center is looking for volunteers to help support two exciting community events:

💙 Senior Resource Day

⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

🔥 YSC Grill & Chill
📅 Saturday, July 25th
⏰ 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

A heartfelt thank you to the Greenhills Middle School Choir for sharing their beautiful voices with us last Thursday and filling the room with joy. Check out the video below! 🎶

We also want to thank everyone who came out and purchased pieces from our Jewelry Sale during the Normal Park Garage Sale on Saturday. Your support means so much to YSC!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and wonderful staff. We truly appreciate your time, hard work, and dedication. It was great to see new faces in the building and to feel the community’s excitement about the renovations and future of the center.

We have some exciting things happening at YSC this summer! 🌞

Join us Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM as YSC participates in the Annual Normal Park Association Yard Sale. Volunteers will be selling jewelry and refreshments, so be sure to stop by and support the center!

🎶 This Thursday, June 4th, the Greenhills Middle School Choir, directed by Ben Cohen, will perform at YSC from 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM in the Great Room. The community is welcome to attend!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our YSC and Recreation Park Beautification Day on May 29th! We are not finished yet, but we made great progress and truly appreciate everyone who helped move this project forward. Special thanks to Sells Nursery for donated plants, the City of Ypsilanti for donated mulch, and Me’Chelle King for Ward 1 Ypsilanti City Council for always supporting YSC.

🌭 Save the date for our biggest fundraiser of the year: YSC Grill & Chill, formerly known as the Corn Roast, on Saturday, July 25th from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. Join us for food, music, fun, and community as we raise funds to support YSC!

Reminder: YSC will be closed Friday, June 19th in honor of Juneteenth.

We’re excited to begin something new at the Ypsilanti Senior Center with our **Beautification Project**!

If you are available, feel free to stop by and lend a hand. We’ll be outside starting at **9:30 AM** working together to help refresh and beautify the Center.

Light refreshments will be available. We hope to see you soon!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Motown Night Dance Party last Friday, May 22nd! We had a wonderful time enjoying good food, great conversations, and lots of dancing.
