Great things are happening at Ypsilanti Community Schools…

At Ypsilanti Community High School, classrooms sometimes sound like a runway. Students in a year-long drone program are learning to fly, map and work toward FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification that can qualify them for paid drone work. (Full story in comments)

Social Workers make it happen!!

It’s , and we are incredibly grateful for our YCS social workers!

Every day, they support students through challenges, celebrate growth, and walk alongside families with compassion and expertise. Their impact is woven into the fabric of our schools.

From organizing our Homeless Awareness Month event to connect families with vital services, to making sure self-care bags with basic necessities reach members of our community, they continuously go above and beyond.

YCS is stronger because of you. Thank you for all you do.

Since 2020, Ypsilanti Community Schools' Resiliency Center has been quietly serving hundreds of families who are experiencing housing insecurity and other challenges.

Count Day helps make sure we have the resources to keep doing that work, but our scholars’ presence matters way beyond just one day. We’re thankful for every family that shows up, tomorrow and always.

Please be sure to send your scholar to school tomorrow so that they can be included!
