☀️💚 **Summer 2026 programming was filled with learning, laughter, and lasting impact!** ☀️💚

Our **Youth & Elder Summer Camp** brought generations together through wellness and fun. Thanks to Healthy Together and the MSSI WASHTENAW COUNTY Bus, elders received important health check-ups while our youth stayed active by participating in dance, soccer, football, and basketball—building healthy habits, confidence, and teamwork along the way.

Our **Freedom School** empowered young minds to dream big and create change! Students explored engineering through LED light projects for activism, discovering how technology can be used to inspire their communities. Thanks to the support of the **A2 Jazz Fest**, participants also had the incredible opportunity to learn a variety of musical instruments while experiencing the power of collaboration and music as a tool for activism and self-expression.

Even when the weather forced us to move our final sessions indoors, our students, elders, staff, and volunteers showed what resilience looks like. We made the absolute best of the CRC space and the resources we had because our community knows how to turn challenges into opportunities!💥💥💥💥
Youth, elders, and all of our West Willow community deserves continued investment, safe spaces, and opportunities that allow us to thrive!

September 26th at A2 JAZZ FEST from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Workshop @ the Loft (above the Rabbit Hole) (210 S. First St., Ann Arbor): Featured instructors will be veteran musician-educators, Sean Dobbins (Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music) & Clif Metcalf (Macatawa Bay 7th/8th Concert Band, West Ottawa Music), both leading their own programs as band directors.

Participants may engage as part of a program or as individuals and don't need to be affiliated with a school!

All ages welcome. Preferred ages: middle to high school. Sign up today!
