The Journey Ministry Pantry

10/13/2026

We are so grateful to be a part of this event and for the support we receive from our community!

In conjunction with Trick or Treat Main Street on October 30 we are asking for anyone willing to bring non-perishable food items to donate to The Journey Ministry Pantry.

Journey Ministry is a 501(c)(3) independent non-profit food pantry located right here in Youngsville. They serve around 200 families every single week! They are maintained and operated with 100% volunteer staff!

Let's CRAM THE VAN full of food to help those in our community suffering from food insecurity!

*You'll find the pantry van located in the lot next to Charron's Deli - 132 E Main St

This week, our pantry family suffered a great loss.

Sharon-Lee was a dedicated volunteer for many years. She took every task she was given with seriousness and care. There was no job too small as far as she was concerned! She moved traffic along during distribution, she kept us in line while packaging food, she taped boxes, counted out bags, kept our packing supplies organized. She worked in the rain, in the snow, in 90° heat and the freezing cold! She believed in our ministry and was dedicated to keeping the work going no matter the conditions.

Sharon LOVED people and would always take time to learn the names of new volunteers and remember them! She made you feel seen and special and loved.

She adored our community neighbors and enjoyed talking to them as they came through the line. She especially loved the children and would always give special care to them.

Sharon was one-of-a-kind. She was straightforward and no nonsense. She could put you in your place but she would give you the shoes off her feet if you needed them.

She was family. We certainly feel her absence. May she forever rest in peace with her loved ones. 💙
