Looking for a kitten who will steal your heart AND occasionally turn your head into her personal nesting spot? Meet !

This adorable gray-and-white girl has the biggest golden eyes, the sweetest freckled nose, and a personality that's impossible to resist!

Wren is gentle, curious, affectionate, and happiest when she's close to her people. She's an expert cuddler with an instant-on LOUD purr, loves batting around her favorite toys, and is always ready to settle in for a cozy nap.

But here's what makes Wren extra special... she loves to NEST on your HEAD and GROOM your hair! That's right! Why settle for a lap when you can perch on top of your favorite human and give them a complimentary hair styling session? Apparently, Wren believes a little grooming is the ultimate expression of love!

When she's not practicing her hairstyling skills, you'll find her following you around, gazing up at you with those irresistible eyes, or patiently waiting for her next cuddle session.

Wren is looking for a loving home where she can be your constant companion, favorite little shadow, and occasional personal hairstylist!

Ready to let Wren make herself at home in your heart (and on your head)? ❤️

Wren has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccinations.

READY, SET... FETCH! IT'S NATIONAL FETCH DAY!
Today, October 17th, is National Fetch Day, a day dedicated to one of our dogs' favorite activities — chasing balls, catching Frisbees, retrieving toys, and, of course, occasionally refusing to give them back!

Unfortunately, today's cold, rainy weather isn't exactly ideal for a backyard game of fetch. But here's the good news... our dogs don't know what day it is! So if we have to postpone the celebration until tomorrow, they'll never know they missed their special holiday! All they'll care about is that someone picked up their favorite toy and said those magical words... "WANNA PLAY FETCH?"

And let's be clear — some dogs don't actually fetch. They chase. They catch. They run away with the toy. They make YOU fetch it. But hey, it's all part of the fun!

Celebrated on the third Saturday of October, National Fetch Day was created in 2018 to encourage playtime, exercise, and strengthen the special bond between dogs and their humans.

Does your dog LOVE to play fetch? Share a photo of your fetch-loving pup in the comments! We'd love to see them in action!

Happy National Fetch Day from all of us at Paws for Life NC!

Due to weather, our Ricci Rescues in the Park event has been postponed to November 14th. Save the date, and our pups will see you there!!!!

In the meantime, you can still meet our pups indoors on Saturday, October 17, at Johnson Subaru of Cary's Howl'oween event from 10am-12pm. We'll also have pups and kitties indoors at Petco Wake Forest from 11am-1pm.

So you can still get a pup fix in tomorrow, to tide you over until November 14th!

PUPDATE: We will be indoors for this event! Raja and Rossi won't make it out to this event, but they are still available! We'll have little Layla out instead. 😊

[Our Ricci Rescues in the Park event for tomorrow has been postponed to Saturday, November 14th, due to weather!]

We've got all TREATS and no tricks for you this Saturday 10/17!

🎃🎃 We'll have adoptable pups out at the Johnson Subaru of Cary Howl'oween Adoption Event from 10am-12pm. This family-friendly, Halloween-themed event will feature pets from eight different rescues. All leashed pets are welcome! Costumes for pets and people are encouraged, but not required. You can take your pets to the Treat Bar, courtesy of Unleashed; enjoy a coffee from Balanced and Brewed Coffee - Mobile Coffee Cart Vibes; or take home some personalized poetry and art from Poetry Fox and Cartoon Jordan!

And if that's not enough, we'll also have both pups AND kitties at Petco Wake Forest from 11am-1pm. Kitties will be indoors; pups are scheduled to be outdoors, but we may move them indoors near the kitties if the weather doesn't cooperate! They will be there somewhere, they swear on their favorite bone!

(Having said that, please be aware that our pet line up is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances!)

Come on out and pet some furry, fuzzy friends! And you know, maybe adopt or foster some of them, who knows? 😁🤗❤

🐔 Meet Mason: Part-Time Dog, Full-Time Goofball! 🐾

Mason is a big, lovable cuddle bug who believes personal space is highly overrated. Expect enthusiastic lean-ins, oversized snuggles, and a goofy grin that could melt even the grumpiest human. Find his magical butt-scratch spot, and congratulations—you’ve just made his entire LIFE. 😂

His one true love? A squeaky rubber chicken. 🐔 He tosses it, bats it around, and entertains himself like a one-dog comedy show. He also loves treats, showing off his sit-spin-shake routine, and playing fetch… although bringing the toy back is more of a suggestion than a commitment.

Mason is basically a giant teddy bear with a silly streak, a heart of gold, and absolutely zero awareness of how big he is. He’s looking for a loving home where he can share his cuddles, make you laugh daily, and continue his lifelong quest to find the perfect butt scratch.

Adopt Mason! He promises endless love, ridiculous entertainment, and a household where a rubber chicken will always be a valued family member. ❤️🐔
