We are truly blessed to be able to provide this nucleus for the Romanian Community. On May 1910, the parish was incorporated under the Laws of the State of Ohio. That was the firs
t church in 830 Wilson Ave. In March 1911 the church was finished and blessed. In October 16th 1944 the parish purchase Charles D. Arms Mansion on Week Ave. and in September 15 1946, the new church building was dedicated. One thousand people joined in celebrating the event with festive dinner at Idora Park. between 1976-1978 the church acquired lend and houses west of the church for a parking lot. In 1983 the Troita in front of the church was built and blessed. A new sanctuary beautification was completed on September 1989. In June 2005 the church parking lot was renovated by YSU. Romania has a population of over 22 millions inhabitants and is one of the largest countries in Eastern Europe. About 90% of the population is of the Orthodox Christian Faith. The Holly Tradition indicates that the Holy Apostle Andrew evangelized the Black Sea territories. Bucharest- also known as "the little Paris is Romania's capital and largest city. Romania is located west of the Black Sea and north of the Balkan Peninsula, Europe's southern tip. The Carpathian Mountains curve through the northern and central parts of Romania and offer breathtaking scenery, hiking trails, ski and vacation resorts. Picturesque farm villages dot fertile flatlands around the mountains. In addition, Romania's warm, sunny east coast which borders the Black Sea, has dozens of sandy beaches and huge wildlife preserve, especially in the Delta of Danube. Romania has a wealth of natural resources, including fertile soil, mineral deposits and vast forests. Above all, it is spiritually blessed to have over 400 monasteries, which draw pilgrims from all over the world
