Mason lost his first match this morning. He finished top 16 in the state in the D4 140 # weight class. This caps off a very impressive 3rd year of wrestling in Danville. Congrats to all of our kids.

We are looking forward to hosting our second annual wrestling camp early this summer. We also have a hog roast fundraiser planned at DARCI field during the 4th of July fireworks.

Mason Breckler went 2-1 today at OAC state. He is in the consolation bracket, but 2 wins from the podium! As you can see in the photo, things are about to get bad for you when Mason gets you up off the ground.

Derek Joseph had a tough day going 0-2. Congratulations to him though on being a 3 time state qualifier in youth wrestling. We are looking forward to seeing both of these boys and their teammates compete in our junior high and high school programs in the coming years.

The girls will be competing this weekend at OhWay girls state at the coliseum in Marion.

The boys are headed to OAC state at the Coveli Centre in Youngstown next weekend.

Our last shoutout for the week goes to our head coach, Josh Wittel. Josh took an entire team of Freshmen and Sophomores to the Districts. 3 of those kids were able to make it to the second day of competition at Districts as well. All of this in just the second year of our varsity program.

Josh is very good at teaching wrestling technique to the kids. He makes it fun, but he also has a great way of pushing them to be better and to stay in shape. Great season Coach! We are lucky to have you in Danville.

Today we recognize our 2 first year wrestlers. Johnny Stephens and Kyle Hackman. These two have worked hard and to learn the sport of wrestling and both were able to become District Qualifiers. Great work boys! See you in Troy!
