OCTOBER 19, 2024: Today, we are thrilled to announce that the NAACP National Board of Directors has approved the launch of the Best Academic Practice Models for Black Students Nationwide Network, in collaboration with the FAMILY Empowerment Student Achievement Institute.
This is a bold and strategic initiative aimed at identifying and promoting schools across the country that are achieving exceptional academic success for Black students. These schools will serve as national models of excellence, sharing best practices and strategies that foster educational equality, equity and success.
Our goal is clear: narrow the achievement gap by replicating what works and ensuring every Black student has access to high-quality education. This initiative is a direct call to action to empower families, educators, and communities to come together and drive change.
State NAACP leaders will play a crucial role in identifying high-performing schools, fostering local partnerships, and amplifying the success stories of Black students.
This is not a program; it is a CAMPAIGN. Together, we can shape the future where Black students thrive academically.
