Why Grief Through Our Eyes Mattered More Than We Can Say
Blessed Sunday Evening,
This past weekend, my son Ahmad and I hosted Grief Through Our Eyes, a grief-centered healing event that brought together people of all ages, backgrounds, and stories. And we’re still holding the beauty of what we experienced in our hearts.
This wasn’t just a book launch. It wasn’t just a gathering.
It was a sacred place—a place to cry, reflect, remember, and feel a little less alone.
We watched as children created memorial bookmarks for their loved ones. Adults stood in front of mirrors, asking themselves honest questions. Families shared stories. Strangers became support systems.
It reminded us that grief isn’t meant to be carried alone.
Too often, we move through our pain in silence.
But events like this remind us:
*Our grief has a voice.
*Our healing needs space.
*And our stories matter.
We created this event because we believe:
~That children need tools to process loss
~That parents deserve room to feel and reflect
~That healing happens when we make room for love, memories, and community
If you couldn’t attend, know that this is just the beginning. Our hearts are wide open for more spaces like this—spaces where healing is welcomed and grief is seen as part of life, not something to hide.
We’ll be sharing more photos, stories, and takeaways on Instagram .
And if this message speaks to you—hit reply. We’d love to hear your story.
Together in healing,
Kristin & Ahmad Biggs
