UPDATE AS OF 3/6/25:

Sister was adopted a year ago and has been ridden consistently. She moves very well and sound and has rebuilt quite a bit of her muscle atrophy from her radial nerve injury in early 2023.

However, she is unable to be ridden on steep hills. She seems to do fine on those trails, but then is sore for a few days after. She has had massage therapy, chiropractic and shockwave therapy.

She was examined by our vet today and he feels she is suitable to be ridden on flat trails. Sister is safe to be ridden by beginners and has a solid walk/trot/canter.

If you are interested in adopting Sister, please reach out to us. We will put you in touch with her current owner. Her adoption fee may be waived to the right home. If Sister hasn't found a home by mid-April, she will come back to the rescue.

We are so grateful for our donors and supporters. We wouldn't be available to help these rescues without you! We try to do everything we can for our rescues, from rehabilitation, vet care and professional training if needed. Can you help us offset last week's expenses for Finn and Journey?

Journey is continuing to do well with Cowgirl Spirit. She went in last week to get her teeth floated again and vaccinations. She has been slightly off in her front left for the past week or so, but our vet confirmed it was an abscess that ruptured and is on the mend. She has been in consistent training with different volunteers. She has been with us for more than 1 1/2 years and we are eager for her to find her person. If you are interested in adopting this breathtaking mare, please let us know! We will have an updated video in a week or two!

Finn is doing fabulous in training and has completed his quarantine. He had his teeth floated, vaccinations and a f***l last week. He was moved to Appleatchee Riders Association where he can get more in depth training with our volunteer trainer, Alexis Shoults, of Riverstone Horsemanship. This gelding will be available for adoption in a month or two. Watch our page for more updates!
