The west coast heat wave has cut our winter short and though the staff fought valiantly to cover dirt with snow- Badger Pass closed yesterday.

Good news: Last weekend, Yosemite locals led by Adonia Ripple held a Ullr & Skadi Day! The goal- “We must circle up and do fun things in gratitude for the snow we have all enjoyed to be sure the snow knows to come back next year. “

Thanks to their foresight- 2027 should be even better than 2026! ❤️

While the 2026 Snowball has been canceled, we are already planning for a 2027 Snowball to celebrate our 99th year.

This year, we are thrilled to have resurrected a full board, reinstituted our ice skating program, continued our developmental ski team, hosted the Ancient Jock's Race, and added snowshoe walks to our offerings. Next year, we look forward to the return of hockey. Thank you to all our members. As we prepare for the 100th anniversary in 2028, we encourage your participation. Reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in serving on our board or to sign up for volunteer opportunities. Enjoy the last few weeks of Badger, see you at the last snow shoe walk on 3/22, and see you at Yosemite Hospitality’s Spring Fest on 3/29. ❤️

Next Saturday- grab your cross country skis and come to Badger Pass for the annual Yosemite Nordic Holiday Race. Yosemite Winter Club board members will be volunteering along the course. See you there!
