Yosemite Lion Alison Grove stands next to the four Lions Peace Poster that were submitted for consideration in this global contest. Students between the ages of 11 and 13 were encouraged to show their artistic sides interpreting this year's theme: "Sharing Peace." The Yosemite Valley School students who participated were: (clockwise from upper left) Kaitlyn Monroy, Ray Marino, Allie Blackwell, and Clara Devlin. The Yosemite Lions Club members voted at their November 5th meeting. Stay tuned to see the two that were chosen to move on to the next level of competition.

Despite some hazy skies in Yosemite due to regional wildfires, we had a wonderful turnout for the annual Yosemite Lions Club Golf Tournament in September! Thank you to all the generous participants. We look forward to this event every year.

Thanks for helping us celebrate the leaving of the mosquitos from Yosemite Valley! We raised $1000 for local organizations such as the Yosemite Valley School where this event was hosted.

Last month, Dee Heller and Ken Harrison from Camp Pacifica presented a video produced by the camp at the Yosemite Lions Club luncheon meeting. They also presented Past President Lion Kym with an award for 2 years of service on the Camp Pacifica board.

Good News! Yosemite Lions Club is selling snacks and drinks at the Yosemite Softball games this summer as a club fundraiser. Come out to the ballgame at the Yosemite Valley School on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 pm.
