May is National Foster Care Month, a time to recognize the 365,000 children and youth currently in foster care across the U.S.

Each year, more than 18,500 young people leave the system without a permanent home. No family to call when life gets hard. No built-in support system. Just independence they may not be ready for.

This is where CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) makes a difference. CASA is trained advocates who stand up for a child’s best interests in court and in life, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs don’t get overlooked. Every child deserves stability, support, and someone in their corner.

This National Foster Care Month, consider learning more about CASA or getting involved. One consistent, caring adult can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
