3:11 Project

3:11 Project 501c3 charity The 3:11 Project mission is to utilize social media as a conduit for social good in the local community.

We work with families and individuals experiencing hardship in Illinois’ Fox Valley area. We connect our clients with people and organizations that have the resources they need to survive as we work with them to develop a plan to transition from surviving to thriving. We also strive to inspire those in our community to build friendships and show compassion through service to one another.

🚨URGENT NEED — SHELTER FOR AN UNHOUSED NEIGHBOR 🚨

Please read the full post before commenting. 🙂

**Total need: $1,700 for hotel shelter**

We have a referral in hand from a local agency that helps shelter unhoused neighbors. This particular person is unable to stay at the shelter due to mental health needs, so they have been safely housed in a hotel.

The agency is currently out of hotel shelter funding, and that funding will not be replenished until July. They have asked 3:11 Project to help fill the gap so this neighbor does not become unsheltered again.

The total need will cover hotel costs through July, when the agency’s funding is expected to resume. The agency has already negotiated a discounted hotel rate.

🚨 URGENT NEED FOR A LOCAL TEEN GIRL 🚨

Long post. Please read to the end. ❤️

A local teen girl was recently placed in emergency care with extended family and arrived with very little. Out of respect for her privacy and safety, we will not be sharing details, but we can say this: loving family stepped in when stability and safety were needed most.

She is now settling into what we hope will be a safe, supportive, long-term home.

The family has already worked hard to get her a bed, but there are still immediate needs to help her feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

1️⃣ TEEN GIRL SUMMER CLOTHING AND TOILETRIES
• Bottoms:** Size 0/1
• Shirts:** Small or Medium
• Shoes/Sandals:** Size 6 or 6½
(Preference: no super short shorts or crop tops)
• she has an Amazon wish list with a few specific items if anyone would like to purchase from it, let us know.

2️⃣ **BEDROOM PRIVACY**
• Privacy screen / room divider** to help create a personal bedroom area where she can feel safe and settled.

3️⃣ **COMFORT & REGULATION ITEMS**
• Fidgets, squishies, calming sensory items
She experiences significant anxiety, and these items genuinely help provide comfort and emotional regulation.

4️⃣ **A WAY TO JUST BE A TEEN AGAIN**
The family has specifically asked for help obtaining a **gaming system** for her.

We understand this may sound like a “want” to some. But for children who have experienced severe instability, anxiety, and loss, healing is not just about survival, it is about regulation, comfort, normalcy, and moments of peace.

Trauma-informed care often includes safe, calming activities that provide predictability, distraction from stress, emotional regulation, and even social connection. Right now, the adults caring for her are simply trying to help her feel safe, breathe easier, and reclaim a small piece of a childhood that was taken from her.

5️⃣ **COURT & LEGAL COSTS**
The family has had to petition for guardianship in order to provide stability and care. Unexpected court-related expenses, including required legal fees, are creating an additional burden during an already difficult transition.

🎯 **Immediate Goal: $1,500** to help offset court costs and allow this family to focus on creating a safe, stable home.

💛 If you would like to contribute financially to help support this child and family during this transition, donations may be sent through the official 3:11 Project channels below:

PayPal: [email protected]
Venmo:
Zelle: [email protected]

Please include a note/memo: **“Safe Landing”** so we can ensure funds are directed appropriately.

❤️ Please share.

⚠️ **IMPORTANT 3:11 PROJECT CROWDFUNDING REMINDER** ⚠️

Unfortunately, scammers sometimes take advantage of urgent needs posts.

❌ **Please do not send money to personal fundraisers, random payment requests, or individuals claiming to collect on behalf of this family.**
✅ **Only donate through the official 3:11 Project payment methods listed above.**

For the privacy and protection of the child and family, we will not be sharing identifying details or engaging in public discussion about the circumstances of this case.

Thank you for helping us surround a child and family with care, dignity, and support during a difficult season. ❤️

Thank you, Mrs. Stone! And thank you to all the McDole students!

💫✨Congratulations to Addison Stone on the Knights of Excellence award. "She went above and beyond by helping coordinate over 500 handmade Christmas cards from McDole Elementary students, which were distributed to local nursing home residents through the 3:11 Project. Her commitment to service-learning created a powerful and moving experience that connected students to their community in a meaningful way." 😁
