HR Canes 14U went undefeated this weekend, finishing 3–0 in a 15U Top Gun tournament!
Strong defense and big bats coming through at the right moments helped seal the championship.

A 1972 U.S. presidential proclamation declared Oct. 6 as National Coaches Day, honoring sports coaches and mentors for the work they do to build character, teach life skills, and guide young athletes.

The Hampton Roads Hurricanes are blessed to have many talented coaches who devote countless hours each year to our organization's many baseball and softball players. We are all eternally grateful.

Youth sports are strong because of people like Amanda doing the heavy lifting. She needs us to send some of that strength back her way today.

Tonight, I come to you asking for prayers, positive thoughts, support, and love for our President, Amanda Ward.

Over the last few days, the Ward family has been faced with some incredibly difficult news as they process Amanda's recent diagnosis and begin preparing for treatment.

As most of you know, Amanda along with her husband Toby have spent years volunteering and serving our league through leadership, coaching, facility repairs, concession operations, uniform orders, and countless other behind-the-scenes efforts that have helped make our league continue to thrive. The Ward family has given so much to this community, and now it's our turn to rally around them!

Please keep Amanda and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they begin this fight!

Many families have asked how they can help support Amanda and her family. I am currently working on gathering that information and plan to share it with you all in the coming days.

This fall is off to a great start for one of our 12u teams. Things look a little different for this group this fall: new coach and new perspectives brought Lady Canes - 12U Law to their first-ever championship game at the Battle of the Creek in Norfolk last weekend! They finished runner-up! Congrats, girls! Let's keep it going!
