Thanks to a YCSF grant, Chelsea Carroll and Mollee Lamb were able to purchase materials for a Regulation Station in their PVE classroom. These resources provide students with a supportive space to regroup, develop self-regulation skills, and successfully transition back to learning when they are ready.

We’re accepting donations for next year’s grants! Donate here: https://yorktownschoolsfoundation.org/tigers-will/

Thanks to a YCSF classroom grant, students in Mrs. Mendez-Perez’s Spanish 3 class brought language learning to life by reading La clase de confesiones, a Spanish novel centered around friendship and love.

After reading the story, students completed comprehension activities, explored Spanish text abbreviations used throughout the book, and even created their own ending to the cliffhanger finale. Experiences like this help make language learning engaging, interactive, and memorable for students!
