The YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester is expanding our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) aftercare programs, and we’re looking for caring, enthusiastic team members who are passionate about working with children!

📍 UPK Aftercare Opportunities

We’re hiring at the following locations:

🍎 Hawthorne Early Learning Center – Hawthorne, NY
Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM or 2:30 PM–6:30 PM

🍎 Primrose Elementary School – Lincolndale, NY
Monday–Friday: 2:30 PM–6:30 PM

🍎 Benjamin Franklin Elementary School – Yorktown Heights, NY
Monday–Friday: 1:30 PM–6:00 PM

🍎 Valhalla Early Learning Center – Valhalla, NY
Monday–Friday: 2:30 PM–6:30 PM

🎓 UPK Head Teacher – White Plains Early Learning Center

We’re also seeking a certified early childhood educator to join our team!

✨ Position highlights:

Salary: $45,000–$50,000 annually, depending on classroom experience

10-month position following the local school district calendar, with pay distributed over 12 months

Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees

Matching retirement plan available after two years of employment

Required: New York State Birth–Grade 2 teaching certification.

🎃👻 What a Spooktacular Day! 👻🎃

We had such a fun time at our Trunk or Treat Event this past Saturday! From creative decorations and adorable costumes to candy and smiles all around, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with Halloween fun. 🍬🚗🕷️

A big thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, and to all the volunteers and supporters who helped make the event so special for our children. Your time, generosity, and community spirit helped make the day a success! 💙

🎃💙 I Am Not a Pumpkin, I Am a…!

At the YMCA, we believe that family time is so important! Our monthly family projects give children and their families an opportunity to spend time together, get creative, and make special memories.

October’s project, “I Am Not a Pumpkin, I Am a…” let imaginations run wild! 🎨 Families transformed pumpkin pictures into all kinds of fun creations, from an Elmo face and a pig to a Power Ranger and even a puppy! 🐷🐶❤️

We love seeing the creativity, laughter, and family fun that come from these projects. It’s a wonderful reminder that sometimes the simplest activities create the sweetest memories! 🍂
