July 17-21, 2022

This summer’s Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers (https://www.nycwatershed.org/wfit) will be in person at the newly renovated Taconic Outdoor Education Center in Cold Spring, NY. Our free institute is for 4-8th grade teachers and non-formal educators teaching in NYC and the upstate NYC Watersheds. At the WFIT, you will explore the forests, waters, science, history, and world-famous partnerships of the NYC Watershed and become informed, inspired and equipped to teach watershed forestry topics to your students. You’ll earn 20+ CTLE credits and get trained in the Project Learning Tree and Project WET curricula. Online applications due by Friday, May 20, 2022. https://www.nycwatershed.org/wfit

We are going VIRTUAL with this summer's Watershed Forestry Institute for Teachers to ensure participant safety during the Covid-19 pandemic. The FREE program will take place in the month of July and is for 4-8th grade teachers and non-formal educators teaching in NYC and the upstate NYC Watershed. Apply online by Friday, May 29, 2020 if you have any interest in participating. More details to come as we develop the program.
