On Saturday morning March 28th, Members and friends of Yorktown Lodge 2324, along with People Helping People NY, gathered to assemble 275 Easter bags for underprivileged children. Candy and toys were donated by the members of Yorktown Lodge. Bags were distributed to Families of St Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights, NY and Peekskill Church of the Assumption in Peekskill, NY.

On August 23rd, using the proceeds of a $4,000 Beacon Grant, Yorktown Elks Lodge 2324 obtained 37 backpacks and filled them with school supplies. Backpacks were filled with notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, scientific calculators, folders and other needed school supplies. The backpacks will be distributed to underprivileged Elementary School, Middle School and High School students in the Yorktown School District. In the near future, using the same grant proceeds, additional backpacks will also be prepared for students in the nearby Lakeland School District.
