Yes, they want help making new friends.
Yes, they want help staying connected to the friends they already have.
That’s what more than 25,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) shared in a national survey.
The same survey found that while 37% want to be part of more groups in their community, only 25% currently participate in one.
This is why programs like SPARC matter.
Through recreation, the arts, athletics, wellness programs, day trips, and weekend adventures, SPARC creates more opportunities for people with IDD to get involved, meet others, and become part of a community.
