Garden Club of Yorktown has expanded their selection of local native plants. Stop by and chat with these knowledgeable gardeners and bring home some plants to beautify your home or give as gifts.

🌿 Our Annual Plant Sale is almost here!
Shop native plants, herbs, perennials, and gorgeous spring favorites this Saturday, May 10, from 8 AM to 2 PM at Yorktown Green Shopping Center (across from Suburban Wines)! 🌸

But that’s not all—we’ll also have a table at Yorktown’s Fam Jam, just up the road in town! Come say hello, learn about native gardening, and enjoy the festivities.

Two great events, one great day in Yorktown. We hope to see you there!

We have a HUGE opportunity to help New York State pass the most sweeping plastic reduction bill in the country.

The Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act (A5322 / S4246) would make polluters pay, dramatically reduce plastic pollution and cut climate warming emissions in our state:
Requires companies to reduce their single-use packaging by 50% in 12 years.
Protects our health and environment by banning a dozen of the most toxic chemicals used in packaging.
Holds companies legally and financially responsible for the end-of-life-management of their packaging, instead of relying on taxpayers to foot the bill.
Requires companies to pay to collect, sort, and manage discarded packaging, providing much-needed taxpayer relief and funding for our municipal recycling and composting programs and infrastructure.
Attend a special briefing on the Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act this Wednesday 4/3 over Zoom and learn what you can immediately do to help get this bill over the finish line. EVENT ALERT!

Join a Special Westchester Briefing on the Packaging Reduction Bill - April 3rd 7pm

This Wednesday night, join a Special Westchester Briefing on the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act (A5322-b/S4246-b) which would require companies to cut their single-use packaging IN HALF in 12 years and redesign what’s left to make it truly recyclable, as well as to ban 15 of the most toxic chemicals currently used in packaging including PFOA, vinyl chloride, benzene, toluene, phthalates, bisphenols, lead and other heavy metals.

The bill would save NYS taxpayers money by putting the burden of paying to deal with packaging waste where it belongs - on the companies responsible for creating it!

Register for the Zoom call to learn more about this important piece of legislation: https://bit.ly/4-3-briefing.
