IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The GLSEN LOWER HUDSON VALLEY Chapter will
SUNSET on June 30, 2025.

It is with great sadness that, after 26 years of dedicated service, the GLSEN Lower Hudson Valley Chapter will no longer be in operation after the end of this fiscal year on 6/30/25.

In anticipation of this change we have given generous grants from our chapter's treasury to the following organizations:

PrideWorks.com
(which operates the PrideWorks Conference for LGBTQ+ Youth)

UUCHV's Fourth Fridays for LGBTQIA+ Youth and their Allies
for expanded support of their program

WJCS Center Lane for LGBTQ+ Youth
to support their various educational programs and youth programs

The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center
for their LGBTQ+ Youth programs

We encourage you to reach out to and also support these organizations which have been carrying on our work in the region of Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties, which was our Chapter's catchment area.

We have also fortified local libraries wherein LGBTQ+ Youth can have access to important recent LGBTQIA+ books.

We wish to thank all those whom we have worked with in the past to support our LGBTQIA+ Youth and the adults who serve them as teachers, counselors, staff and administrators.

Thank to to all our LGBTQ+ Allies and especially those who step up in these challenging times for LGBTQIA+ people everywhere.

May your advocacy be felt, heard, and respected!

GLSEN Lower Hudson Valley loves Fourth Fridays!
Here is some information passed on from them!

Fourth Fridays meets again this Friday, 2/28, from 5:30-7:30pm in Peekskill.
Fourth Fridays is a FREE social group for LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies in Grades 9-12.
Youth are welcome to join us for a warm meal, games/activities and time to just relax and be with peers.
This is a safe and welcoming space to be your true authentic self.
It helps us with our food count if you let us know you’re coming. Very short RSVP link in profile.
Let us know if you need help with transportation expenses - we can do that!
