Pleasureville American Legion Post 799 The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, wartime veteran's organization. Tuesday is Wing Night.

It is a community-service organization, which now numbers nearly 3 million members - men and women - in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide. Pleasureville Legion Post 799 was founded in 1955, chartered in April of 1959 and we celebrated our 5oth birthday in 2009. Post 799 was established to provide a home base for the Veterans of the area. Our Post, located at 2590 Willow Street, consist

s of social, meeting and event facilities for Post members and their guests. The Pleasureville Post consists of members belonging to the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and the Home Association. These groups organize and present fund-raising functions to provide support for civic, veteran and non-veteran groups: Children's Welfare Fund, the VA Hospital in Lebanon, PA and the Homeless Veterans to name a few. In addition to special events and feeds, Pleasureville Post 799 maintains standard operating hours and provides lunch on Friday as well as dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. If you are in the area, stop in and say hello. You may visit the Post up to five times before we ask you to join. If you are not a member, but are eligible to join, please do so.
