Zipper Club Kidz is rolling out our very first fundraiser: the 24-Hour Ultra Skate!
This February — Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month — we’ll take the track at Miami Motor Speedway and skate for a full 24 hours straight.
Every hour, we’ll honor a different heart warrior and their family — 24 hours, 24 stories. Their courage is the reason we skate.
Why we do this:
When a child has open-heart surgery, the scar runs straight down the middle of their chest. It looks like a zipper — and that’s where the name “Zipper Club” comes from. Childhood should be more than hospitals, and our mission is to give families joy, relief, and memories that last:
• Heart Bags filled with comfort items when they go home from surgery
• Movie nights, pizza nights, concerts, skating events, and sporting outings
Why roller skates?
Roller skating has brought our family a ton of happy moments over the years. It’s a great form of exercise, something the whole family can do together, and it’s guaranteed to bring a lot of fun — and a lot of smiles. That’s why it’s the perfect way to launch our very first fundraiser.
This skate is our big launch, and we need your help:
• Corporate sponsors to help us expand impact
• Skaters to join the team in Miami
• Donors to support from anywhere
Zipper Club Kidz is an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
Goal: $24,000 — one thousand for each hour, each family honored.
Together, we can turn scars into stories of strength — and give families the moments they deserve.
