We need you to help this summer! If you’re looking to host a food drive with your neighbors, Scout group, church, or family, think of your summer lunch essentials.

Without school breakfast and lunch, kids in York County may go without. We’re collecting staples like peanut butter and jelly, apple sauce or other fruit pouches, plastic fruit cups, and granola bars.

Last month, we were able to share extra shelving with our partner pantry friends at the Salvation Army in York. 📦

The York County Food Bank works with more than 100 partner pantries throughout York County to ensure everyone in our community has access to nutritious food. Sometimes, that network of help goes beyond just ordering food to stock shelves. 💚

Our annual Iron Chef Competition is back!

It's an evening of guest chefs, auctions, drinks, and of course – great food! Best of all, it helps the York County Food Bank ensure we can pursue a Hunger Free York.

Four of the best chefs in York County create a three-course menu using staple food items from the Food Bank. Attendees sample the creations and choose which chef will take home the title of Iron Chef!

When: 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, August 31

About 53,000 York Countians face hunger -- enough to fill WellSpan Park, home of the York Revolution, almost nine times.

We’ve collected 697 lbs of food so far as part of our Hunger Free partnership!

There are two Hunger Free Thursdays this month: this evening at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Help us reach our goal of 2,200lbs of food by the end of the season! One food donation = one free ticket to a Thursday home game! ⚾️🍏
