Pack 54 is gearing up for our annual Pinewood Derby! Partnered with a parent or guardian, Cub Scouts work together, strengthening bonds and building confidence – and their own custom race cars! They begin with a kit, then create a design, then carve it from the wood block provided in the kit, and detail it with paint, decals and other accessories, and perfect strategies to compete. It’s a wonderful learning experience centered on teamwork, ingenuity and sportsmanship – all for the thrill of the race and a lifetime of great memories to share with fellow racers young and old.

🚤 Join Cub Scout Pack 54 at TF50’s Community Event: Remote Control Boat Fun Run! Sunday, June 22nd 10-12pm🚤

Looking for a fun family activity this weekend? Come out and join Pack 54 at TF50’s Remote Control Boat Fun Run—a community event happening this Sunday, June 22nd from 10 AM to 12 noon at the lake/pond in Cousler Park!

Kids will have the chance to operate a variety of remote-control boats and ships in the water—and if you have an R/C boat of your own, bring it along and join the fun!

It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, meet local Scouts, and see what Cub Scouting is all about.

School's out, summer's in and kiddos have energy to burn! So, it's a better time than ever to hit the trails and get your hike on with your Cub Scout(s). Before you lace up your boots and apply the sunscreen, take a moment to review our tips. 🥾🏔️

From staying on marked paths to keeping everyone hydrated and bug-protected, the basics of hiking safety can turn a good outing into a great one. Always hike with a buddy, know the route and don’t forget to pack the Cub Scout Six Essentials!

Pack 54 is gearing up for the “Into the Shadows of 1864” Gettysburg Camporee! Our Cub Scouts will experience living history through hands-on activities, reenactments, and exploration of historic Gettysburg. We’re excited for this unique opportunity to learn, grow, and make unforgettable memories together!

The New Birth of Freedom Council is pleased to announce that our 2025 council-wide camping event will be a Civil War-themed camporee on a family farm a quarter mile from the Gettysburg battlefield.

This theme will be familiar to some units in the Council, as Battlefield and Heritage Trails District held a joint fall camporee using this theme and location in 2022. About 900 Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members attended the event, which was later featured in Scout Life magazine. You can check out that event's wrap-up video at https://vimeo.com/769284466.

Sails were flying and ranks were rising at Pack 54’s Raingutter Regatta and Rank Advancement Ceremony last night! 🚤🎖️ Our Cub Scouts showed their spirit, skill, and determination as they raced their boats and celebrated a year of growth and achievement. Congratulations to all who earned their ranks—we’re so proud of you!
