We had a GREAT Breast Cancer event Saturday 🩷! This was the first year we hosted the WellSpan Health mobile mammogram and the panel discussion at the same time! Many women got their yearly screening with us, right here in the community 💌!
The discussion was immensely informative, as we explored familiar things like how diet, exercise, and even breastfeeding link to lower breast cancer risk.
We then went deeper into the advances of breast cancer care, and how less aggressive treatment is at the forefront of better outcomes, how immunotherapy presents a less invasive option, and how breast cancer interacts with hormone replacement therapy.
WellSpan Health is committed to access, and they maintain that uninsured does not mean underserved! Uninsured individuals qualify for free screening, and their navigators work within Medicaid and every service available in the event of a diagnosis. They have interpreters for every language, and provide these essential services for every woman that needs them, regardless of citizenship status ❤️!
