With hearts filled with sorrow and gratitude for a life well lived, the members of Deborah Chapter No. 26, Order of Eastern Star, P.H.A., announce the transition of our beloved Past Worthy Matron, Sister Bernice Edmonds.
In His infinite wisdom and mercy, God has called our dear Sister from her earthly labors to eternal rest. Having faithfully walked the Golden Pathway of service, love, and devotion, she has crossed the river to her heavenly home and now rests in the Eternal Garden of Peace.
Sister Edmonds united with Deborah Chapter No. 26 on October 1, 1980, and for more than forty years, she exemplified the highest ideals of our Order. Her life was marked by unwavering faith, humble leadership, and a steadfast commitment to serving others. Through her wisdom, grace, and gentle spirit, she became a source of strength, encouragement, and inspiration to all who knew her.
Her distinguished service included serving as Past Worthy Matron, former District Deputy Grand Matron, Past State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler of the Order of the Golden Circle, and Past Deputy for Oasis, Himyar Court No. 97, Oasis of Harrisburg, Desert of Pennsylvania.
As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a remarkable legacy of service, sisterhood, and love. We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all whose lives were blessed by her presence.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." — Matthew 25:23
Sleep on, dear Sister Bernice Edmonds, and take your well-earned rest. Your light, your love, and your legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
