We're planning to start a NEW 4-H community club in Eastern York County THIS FALL! All youth ages 8-18 are welcome to join. An informational meeting will be held on September 3rd. Contact Pam at [email protected] for the time and location, and with any questions.

Congratulations to Mitchell Brown and Emily Shoffner, who were named the recipients of the Robert D. Griffith 4-H Scholarship! The Robert D. Griffith 4-H Scholarship is the result of an endowment set up to fund scholarships for 4-H members by Robert & Mildred Griffith. The Griffiths were local farmers who had a very strong interest in both 4-H and higher education. We are extremely grateful to the Griffith Family for this wonderful gift for our 4-H members.

We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2026 Hoke 4-H Leadership Award is Mitchell Brown! Over Mitchell’s 10 years of being a 4-H member, he’s participated in our York County 4-H Swine Club, York County 4-H Dairy Beef Club, York County 4-H Senior Exchange Club, and York County 4-H Shooting Sports Club. He is planning to attend college, majoring in Agricultural Engineering.

Commissioner Doug Hoke created the Hoke 4-H Leadership Award to recognize the achievements of 4-H members in York County. We are grateful to Commissioner Hoke for creating and supporting this award.

Congratulations, Mitchell; we wish you good luck in your future endeavors!

Every shake supports the York County 4-H Program by sending members to county, regional, state, and national 4-H conferences and events; providing member recognition; educational materials and supplies; and volunteer training and recognition.

Thank to Plainville Farms for your support of our York County 4-H youth!

Last night was a special one at the 4-H Livestock Sale! We were honored to purchase the Grand Champion Turkey—a bird that we proudly supplied to the exhibitor back in March.
