Last night we held our last meeting of 2026 and had a wonderful turn out. We covered a lot of topics as well as started preparations for 2027. We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported our organization through the 2026 year as we traversed a lot of changes and improvements. We plan to see continued growth as we progress into 2027 and future years. Thank you to everyone contributed and supported us and we will see you next year! Our first membership meeting in 2027 will be April 25th, at the Hoss’s in West York. See you there!

As a reminder our last meeting of 2026 will be this Sunday, September 27th at the Hoss’s in West York. Board meeting will be at 3, food at 5 and general membership meeting will be after food. All are welcome! This will be an important meeting as we end 2026, hold elections and prepare for 2027. See you then!

We had an incredible membership meeting on Sunday this past weekend. We would like to thank everyone for coming out and once again thank everyone for the incredible show this year! Today is our monthly July meeting, we are meeting at the Hoss’s in West York. The board meeting starts at 3, food at 5 and the membership meeting starts when people are done eating. Everyone is welcome to come out! This is a very important meeting where we will talk about how the annual show went and changes needed for next year, we want to hear everyone’s thoughts! Thank you!

🔥 Steam returns home after more than 20 years. History came full circle at the 40th Menges Mills Historic Horse Steam & Gas Engine Show as steam returned to its original showgrounds for the first time in over two decades.

Pictured are Ladies of Steam (Raja Rose) and (Colinda Blanken) with the Frick and Peerless steam engines. Together, they not only ran the two full-sized steam engines at this year's show, but also helped power threshing demonstrations and the shingle mill.

Even more special, the Frick engine had attended this very show years ago when it was owned by Jerry's father, while the Peerless also carries deep roots within the local community.

Thank you, Raja and Colinda, for your dedication to supporting local steam shows and preserving the stories that make them so meaningful.

It has come to our attention that there are multiple fake Facebook groups with our name. This Facebook account is the only real social media linked to the Menges Mills Historic Horse Steam and Gas Engine Association. Please do not click on any links or messages sent by these fake accounts as they are spam. We are trying to get them taken down. Thank you

This year being back at the 4H center and featuring steam engines, we made it a goal to hold a trial run of a threshing demonstration. This trial run went super well and we learned a lot of very valuable lessons to improve and change upon for future shows. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Bange family for the donation of the wheat, to David Casner for brining the threshing machine and to all the volunteers who brought equipment and worked tirelessly to make this happen! As we load up the trailers and head towards home, the Menges Mills Assc. would like to wish safe travels to everyone on their way home and say thank you to all the amazing volunteers, vendors, and spectators that helped to achieve such an incredible year. We would like to thank everyone who hauled tractors out, helped with demonstrations or took time out of their weekend to come see the show. We had a wonderful year! We would like to give a huge thanks to all of our sponsors who supported our show this year in every aspect. We would especially like to thank the York 4H center for allowing us to host our show on their grounds and for the National Guard for allowing us to park on their grounds and for shuttling people to the show grounds. We couldn’t have done this without each and every one of you. So thank you!
Our next meeting will be Sunday July 26th at 5pm at the West York Hoss’s. We hope to see everyone come out as we’d love to hear as much advice and feedback, good or bad, as we can at the meeting. See you then!
