York High Homecoming Game- tomorrow night! Friday, October 9, 2026 🧡💙
Alumni band members can march in the Homecoming Parade and/or play in the stands.
-Game starts at 7:00PM- vs. Dallastown

Band Director, Kevin Crawmer invited alumni band members to play in the stands alongside the William Penn & Bearcub Bands during the Homecoming game.

There was also interest from alumni for the Homecoming Parade. Info below from Mr. Crawmer for alumni band members wishing to march in the Homecoming Parade from York High to Smalls Field:

-Report time is 4:30 PM with a step off directly at 5:00 PM.
- To march, you can just show up at the report time.
**Please note: Alumni Band colorguard flags will not be available at this event.
-The band will be towards the front of the parade

-Meet: 4:30 pm- W. Princess St in Municipal parking lot
-Parade step-off: Right at 5:00 pm
-Music: We’re from York & Old York High
-Wear: Alumni band or York High shirts, orange & Blue
-This is a Wm. Penn event- will march to Wm. Penn drum cadence.

-Arrive to Smalls Field: 5:40
Pre-game Homecoming Info:
-6:10 - all bands march into the stadium
-6:15 - Wiliam Penn band sets up on field for Homecoming. *Alumni Band breaks off and does not perform on field- can go to stands, etc
-6:30 - Homecoming 2026
-7:00 - Game begins

-York High, Bearcub, and Alumni Band members perform tunes in the stands during the game.

-Halftime - Dallastown Marching Band performs field show
-Post game - William Penn Bearcat Marching Band performs their field show. 🧡💙

If participating in the stands, please bring
all your music for "stands" participation! **The current stand tunes include some songs from past Band Nights. They still play "Hey Baby"😊

Hope everyone has sent the form & payment to be received by this Thursday, October 1 for the York High Alumni Band 50th Social event! All forms & payment must be received this Thursday, Oct.1 for a final count. There will be no tickets sold at the door. I know the info has been shared further, so want to be sure no one misses out. It would be too late to mail it, but if you missed providing the payment, please contact us & we can try to make arrangements to get it from you in the next few days. Thanks! 😊

BAND NIGHT is Coming Up!
Join us to celebrate the York City Marching Band program!
Friday, September 25, 2026
Prior to the York vs. Red Lion game.
Game starts at 7:00PM

Pre-Game: William Penn, Bearcub & Alumni bands will play three songs as a mass band:
"Down" - Jay Sean
"Senorita" - Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes
"Break My Heart" - Dua Lipa

To Participate in the Pre-Game Mass Band Performance:
Meet on Visitors Side by 6:00PM
-Wear York High Alumni Band, York High shirts or Orange & Blue
-The mass band will march around the track playing "We're From York" & "Old York High." We will march into the stadium & set up on the track by 6:30 PM.

Playing Mass Band Pieces on the Field: After marching around the track, the mass band will march onto the field together, rather than as individual bands. We will set up 2-3 rows of wind players (from 40 yd line to 40 yd line) with percussion setting up behind them. Members will intermix by instrumentation.

Anyone who would just like to play in the stands should bring all of their music & wear York High shirts or Orange & Blue.

Music: For "We're from York", "Old York High” & “Never Walk Alone” or the 3 mass band pieces, please contact us ahead to request music.
-It can be emailed as a PDF or we can meet prior to Band Night.
-We can provide it the night of Band Night, but please request music ahead of time.
Amy is receiving the music on the evening of Tues., 9/15 & will start scanning/copying that night. Please contact Amy by sending a private message by 9/24 to have music emailed or for her to have it at the field.

Post-Game: York High Marching Band will perform their field show.
Following that- York High & Bearcub bands, YHAB, and Red Lion Marching Band will perform “Never Walk Alone” in a mass circle on the home-side track, anticipating an awesome musical experience!!
