Cornerstone Bank Partners with Visa to Support United Way of York
Cornerstone Bank, in partnership with Visa, has made a $10,000 donation to the United Way of York, a nonprofit serving York County. The gift contributed to the United Way of York’s yearly fundraising campaign, organized to support local non-profit, civic, or service organizations.
Since 1961, the United Way of York has collaborated with local agencies to make an impact on the York community through programs focused on education, income stability and health and human services. Funds raised are used for families in need of emergency assistance through Blue Valley Community Action, to organize events for adults with disabilities through York Citizens Advocacy, and to buy uniforms for Special Olympic athletes. Other organizations benefiting from this year’s campaign are CASA for York County, Crave West (Project Search), Epworth Family Resources, York Adopt-A-Pet, York County Kids, York County Human Trafficking Task Force, York County Public Transportation, York Dolphins Swim Team, Yorkshire Playhouse Children’s Theater, and York Youth Football.
The gift reflects Cornerstone Bank’s shared commitment to the community it serves.
“We are very appreciative of this gift, especially at a time when community support is more essential than ever,” shared Eryn Conyers, United Way of York Board Member. “The agencies we give funds to are important to our community and make York a better place to live for everyone. The gift from Cornerstone significantly helps us as we aim to reach our goal.”
Zac Holoch, President & CEO of Cornerstone Bank stated, “Community is a term that Cornerstone Bank takes very seriously, and we are proud to be able to support the many agencies that partner with United Way of York. We would also like to extend a thank you to Visa for partnering with us to make this donation possible.”
The goal for the United Way of York’s campaign is $50,000. Donations are still being accepted. Anyone looking to also contribute to the United Way of York’s campaign is encouraged to visit their website at unitedwayofyork.org/give.
